Since 1953 the Ars Viva Prize has honoured three contemporary visual artists living and working in Germany with an internationally touring exhibition and a cash prize. This year's panel of experts commended each winning artist for their progressive artistic practice and distinctive visual language. Existing and newly commissioned works by the recipients will form an exhibition that will tour national galleries in Germany and Austria between October 2014 and August 2015. Holen, Domanovic and Richards will each receive €5000, and the opportunity to develop limited edition artworks with participating institutions.
