Once again we found ourselves on the way to Basel, full of high expectations and our prayers were answered. I had never seen so many established people trying to make a dash for it, getting into the fair was totally insane we all felt like we were in a farm rather than an art fair.

We bought yet another amazing Graham Dolphin for the collection which was being modelled for us by Gregor Muir.
Roy found an interesting Vanessa Billy in Liste for the collection
And liked very much Alison Freeman at James Fuentes amongst other interesting works.
In Art Basel he found a lovely Jay Heikes we liked very much.
We found a few wonderful art works for the collection. Allora and Cazadilla's Intermission 1: American Soldiers in Afghanistan at leisure on Halloween.
Gillian Wearing OBE made a very moving tribute to 9/11.
At Liste we found Shannon Ebner’s photographic DELAY

Lee Kit's installation in Art Statements was very a poignant and ‘feminine’ domestic scene.
At Gavin Brown, Hope Atherton showed her talents as a sculptor.
Mark Leckey’s works were wonderful.
We loved the work of Haegue Yang at Carole Greene’s Gallery.
Also we bumped into Florian Slotawa at Suzy Shammah
At Anton Kern, Mathew Monahan sculpture was monumental and fabulous.
We bumped into Martin Burckhardt who made a refreshing change to see an artist actually AT work instead of seeing JUST work.
I had to watch out where I walked Kendell Greers had blocked out path with swinging bricks. OUCH.
We all had a lovely lunch sitting in the courtyard of the famous Basel Sausage.
Luckily there were a few crumbs left over by the work of Wilfredo Prieto

At RaebervonStenglin I found a great pair of trousers by Killan Ruethemann
The Long March Space showed Chinese artist Zhou Xiaohu was good fun and very well executed.
The name Anne Met Hol was firmly written on the wall next to these empty boxes.
