Frieze London 2017: Day 3
11 October 2017
There was excitement all around as we were implanted into the big white tent on day three, it was full on but I saw many wonderful things. Loved the work by David Douard at Rodeo
The bowling pin earrings by Kathleen Ryan at Ghebaly Gallery were adorable
Then at Lorcan O’Neill there was a lovely Prem Sahib
Anna Uddenberg’s Cuddle Clamp, 2017 at Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler was the cutest
Hannah Black at Arcadia Missa was an installation not to be missed, with all these strange creatures enjoying the show
Time to stop for some performance art by Candida Powell-Williams which I found very entertaining
Decoration-wise my fav was Cary Kwok at Herald St. This beautifully crafted work really speaks for itself
I spied an astonishing Jennifer Tee
Pilar Corrias were showing some fantastic works by Mary Reid Kelley, including the wonderful sculptures that were made to produce her video works
I was pleased to see a beautiful row of Patricia Treib works at Kate Macgarry
The Pamela Rosenkranz work at Spruth Magers was incredible, however being a sound piece it was impossible to hear with all the noise from the fair
OMG is exactly how I felt at the end of the day, Tif Zab had insta’d me
The evening was a big treat at the Zabludowicz Collection with a mega performance by Studio Wayne McGregor. Dancers were interacting with the algorithms of Haroon Mirza’s work, sparking and moving to the light and sound of colour and fizz
The grand finale to this day was a lovely dinner hosted by Shaun Regan and Salon 94, where I got to sit next to feminist and queen of painting, Marilyn Minter. I could not have asked for more
