Frieze openings
28 October 2015
Saturday and
with the week nearly over it gives just a drop of time to rest before Frieze is
upon us.
Managed to watch Hans-Ulrich Obrist on Periscope, as I’m too exhausted to actually get there. The Transformation Marathon at the Serpentine was full of fantastic ideas addressing cultural, political and physical shifts and asking how significant change can be today. A 24 hour marathon!
The great shows continued unbounded with Jonas Wood at Gagosian Gallery
and Ian Cheng at Pilar Corrias. His investigations of cognitive evolution feel both brilliant and a narrative of insanity. HUO with Jon Rafman and Ian Cheng.
Loved the work of Josephine Meckseper at Timothy Taylor.
With good alcohol comes a good game of chess by James Hopkins, well if you knew which way to play it!
Then I stumbled across Frieze Week with the article discussing our 20th year of collecting.
