January in Miami
22 February 2019
Before I headed back to London I had time to catch up on a few things I did not get to see during Art Basel Miami Beach
Our first stop was straight to The Bass where we had great fun with the feather covered polar bears at Paola Pivi’s ‘Art with a View’ show
We got physical, crawling through the 80 piece mattress installation….
…then there was still time for more exercise with the feather bears!
Next, we visited Beth Rudin DeWoody’s bunker filled with 10,000 works - a curated journey through art heaven. This wonderful food installation includes so many familiar artist. Donald Trump, watch out you have a new Palm Beach neighbour
My favorite installation was the heads
The final pose before we left, our heads buzzing with so much visual delight
Then it was straight to the Del a Cruz Collection where Rosa showed us all around. We particularly admired her new Glenn Ligon acquisitions, simply stunning!
