In
between all the excitement I took a quick trip to LA and headed straight to the
Hammer Museum to see the magnificent Kevin Beasley
Into the book shop and we were reunited straight away with lovely Kevin
The publication ‘Exit Art’ was giving us great memories of Puerto Rico and Papo Colo
A show stopping Liz Craft
And some very impressive wall murals by Nicolas Party
Visiting Kenny Scharf in his studio was such a highlight, he is leaving the space after 30 years and leaving a whole history behind him
It was inspirational, I loved the utilization of the old TVs
My lovely friend Joyce Ostin hosted a wonderful lunch at her home with the help of Graham Steele. Lovely picture of the girls; Deborah Mcleod, Miriam Rothbart, Joyce, myself and Patricia Marshall
I arrived at the fair and found Puppies Puppies, after his residency with us in Las Vegas, lying flat out on the red carpet
Little red riding girl even started to cuddle him
There was some great work at the fair. Loved Jennie Jieun Lee
Jane Corrigan at the new Marinaro Gallery caught my eye
A wonderful painting on velvet by Ann Hirsch who showed in Emotional Supply Chains at the Zabludowicz Collection last year
Then it was back to Las Vegas for my son Liam’s 21st. We had such a fun night, and then they topped it off watching the sunrise at 6am by the Seven Magic Mountains dressed in dressing gowns and sunglasses
Happy Birthday Liam
