Miami - Part 4
14 December 2011
Pulse for me was the most fun, it was not to be taken too seriously but there was a huge amount of good quality photography.
If you get too tired the garden had some lovely hammocks to offer you.
Or indoors sofas to lie on.
The sky was beautiful.
Even the discarded building materials were beautiful. I guess I was feeling happy.
Interesting work by Theresa Diehl at Anita Beckers.
I headed with Lizzie, Peter and Tiffany to the Rubell Collection and Rosa De La Cruz Collection, both were great. I liked the World Champion boxing where the Scholls were showing their collection of Jack Strange - it looked fabulous.
Next door I liked this work by artist Louis Guispert
I headed off to the smaller Brooklyn art fair which was fabulous it was called Riff Raff. I saw the work of Jane Mosely, which I like very much.
New young artist Nick Darmstaedter
The weirdest of all the art works was the fish tank by Pierre Huyghe with a huge sea creature crawling over a perfectly formed sculpture of a head.
Back to NADA and loved Workplace Booth. Marcus Coates’s work of two giant turtles making love called “Intelligent Design”
Also an adorable animation by Matt Stokes.
Finally I went to visit Jamison at Scoop where he was introducing the two new designers Khirma Elazov handbag designer and Linda Vojtova jewelry designers with Lauren Prakke, Fedor Pavlov-Andreevich and Tiffany.
We headed out in stormy weather onto a friend’s boat with artist JR and girlfriend Plum.
Tiffany, Jeffrey Deitch and myself riding the storm.
