Pre-Miami warmup
14 December 2011
As I pack up to leave for Miami I still have a few events to go in London.
The most out there of all was Simon de Purys 60th. We were dressed to the hilt in our beautiful dirndls with beer jugs in hand swaying to the brass band in a Munich Beer Fest in the middle of London. I had no idea I had a talent at hammering nails in tree trunks. The evening was totally wacky.
Then it was Gregor Muir’s fundraising and philanthropy bash at the ICA. The morning started with “Breakfast with Tiffany” and Tiffany interviewed Anj Smith and the amazing designer Mary Katrantzou.
Then it was lunch with Tracey Emin who was wonderful as ususal. Her friends, including myself and David Tang cheered her on and in 30 seconds each she created four drawings that raised a huge amount of funds for the ICA.

The kids and myself also had a chance to be creative - Liam with Daniel Silver and his handiwork.
My very first attempt at sculpture - I think I will keep the day job.

Kenny Schachter’s kid Kai’s handy work: a future budding artist.
In another room Mustafa Hulusi was working away at making some beautiful scarves, and I took one home for myself.
