Venice: Day 3
2 June 2011
Thursday at the Biennale was quite incredible. I actually am not sure how I got through the day. We gave a special breakfast for the Guggenheim.
Ivor Braka with Richard Armstrong. He later dropped by with Jeff Koons and the boys and I missed them. Jeff drew a lovely picture for us.
Then I was having a PG moment on a Gondola with Ian the photographer.
Ran back to HQ for lunch where we hosted Ed Vaizey and Sarah Weir on board so we could update him on the Legacy List.
All sorts of characters in the Giardini.
Old lady dressed to kill
Gentleman in faux Marimekko checking out the Christopher Wools.
Amalia Pica gave a wonderful talk about her work.
Stephan hanging out in the streets of Venice.
Then off to Vito’s show...
Dylan Brant assisting Terence Koh ...
... in his meditative performance.
Then in the next garden total chaos Rats hanging out.... Bruce High Quality Mania!
On my way out I bump into Rob and Michelle well protected against the Venetian sun
In the evening we host a Tate cocktail we managed to cram in 120 of Tate’s Patrons onto the boat. They were all very happy and did not want to go home. Mary Moore with her son Henry.
Nick Serota was in incredibly good spirits and seemed to be enjoying his trip in Venice immensely.

John Huntingford was looking very dapper in his Venezia Shirt
