Finally, we arrive on the island of Sarvisalo

The son and daughter of Tapio Wirkkala’s granddaughter Petra Wirkkala and her designer husband Harri Koskinen were very happy with Richard Woods’ house we commissioned in 2011

In the evening we had a lovely cozy dinner in Hermans
Then back to Helsinki to view ‘Les Miserables’ by Oiva Toikka, we were privileged to have a tour by Oiva’s son Jussi Toikka
We also launched the latest addition to our publishing family!
Ready to feed the masses on our beautiful carbon fiber Surface Dining Table and our Iittala X Issey Miyake placemats. Once a gentleman sat next to me at a dinner party, a very big Irish collector of design, who said to me ‘I judge my hosts by their table’. A little harsh I thought but it really made me think. Table settings show hospitality, love and aesthetic beauty and it is true when I host - my settings are very thought out by myself and my team. After a wonderful lunch it is bye bye design group, hello art gang!
