Joey Holder

Joey Holder creates fictional, constructed environments informed by her research into new technologies, natural history and conspiracy theories. Mutation and hybridity are constant themes in her work. The sculptural installations and videos Holder produces draw on visual material from synthetic biology, smart farming and deep-sea ecosystems. Each artwork or curatorial project is approached as an environment, with overlapping filmic, narrative, architectural, visual and audio elements.
