Among the Machines will feature works from the Collection examining how humans interact with machines and non-human entities. As artificial intelligence (AI) develops to potentially surpass us, how will we respond to a stage of evolution beyond the human?

Thirteen international artists from across different generations investigate the impact of technology on our sense of individual and collective identity, and our relationship to the planet. Alongside installations of video, sculpture and interactive computer works, Among the Machines features newly commissioned augmented reality (AR) experiences for your smartphone, created in direct response to our gallery space - be ready and download the Daata AR app before your visit.

Opening in a special VR pop up in the foyer, Lauren Moffatt's virtual reality work Of Hybrids and Strings creates connections to plants and creatures through a series of interactive threads, all set within a moonlit forest.
