Ruairiadh O'Connell (b. 1983, Aberdeen, Scotland. Lives and works in London)
O'Connell's work has previously explored the ways our surroundings can influence bodily responses, especially through design and visual culture. His sculptures and screen prints investigate the links between science, pseudo-science and image-making. He studied Fine Art at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Frankfurt (2008–11). Recent solo exhibitions include Knuckle, at Mark and Kyoko, Berlin (2011), Retina Burns, Halle Fur Kunst with Hermes und der Pfau, Luneburg (2011) and Tracking The Un-Visible, Everest, Zurich (2010). Recent group shows include, Los Pasos Perdidos, Andreas Huber, Vienna (2012), Encore, MMK, Frankfurt (2011) and Sticks and Stones, Peres Projects, Berlin Mitte (2011).
