Puppies Puppies (Jade Kuriki Olivo) at Kunsthaus Glarus, Switzerland

Zabludowicz Collection is delighted to lend Curry (2017) to the latest exhibition at Kunsthaus Glarus, Switzerland, Puppies Puppies (Jade Kuriki Olivo).

Jade Kuriki Olivo worked under the pseudonym Puppies Puppies until 2018, revealing neither the gender nor origin behind the name. The unveiling of their identity became part of a series of works that coincided with the transition to Jade Kuriki Olivo. Olivo’s use of ready-mades and assemblages in installations and performances challenges the notion of authorship, and explores with poignancy and humour the potential of personas and the homogenisation of popular culture.
