East London Painting Prize Winner Announced

Congratulations to Willem Weismann on winning this year's East London Painting Prize.
Now in its second year, the Prize celebrates the talent and diversity of artists living in East London today. From numerous applications, twenty three artists were selected for exhibition at the Rum Factory, Wapping. The eventual winner, Weismann's 2015 painting Library Guide was selected by a judging panel including Oliver Basciano, Deputy Editor of Art Review, Elizabeth Neilson, Director of Zabludowicz Collection, and Nathan Eastwood, winner of the East London Painting Prize 2014. Weismann receives £10,000 cash and a solo exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery, Bow, later this year. The East London Painting Prize exhibition, featuring the work of all nominees, will close on 17 May 2015.
