Jeppe Hein's 'Please Touch The Art' opens in New York
20 May 2015
Danish artist Jeppe Hein has created a series of new public art works for the Brooklyn Bridge Park, New York. Known for his socially engaging and unconventional work, Hein was previously commissioned by the Zabludowicz Collection to create a number of Socially Modified Bench works for the island of Sarvisalo, Finland. For the Public Art Fund, Hein has developed this series further, alongside presenting Mirror Labyrinth NY and Appearing Rooms. All are interactive sculptures, intended to shake-up the audience's experience of public space against one of the city's best known backdrops.
Jeppe Hein 'Please Touch The Art' will continue until April 17 2016. For more information please visit the Public Art Fund website.
